Yoga 360 - Patanjali, the Yamas & Niyamas

With Rishin Paonaskar

This 3-hour immersive yoga experience focuses on the first and second of the Ashtanga eight limbs of yoga the Yamas and Niyamas - ethical restraints and observances. After a short introduction to Patanjali's 2000 year old Yoga Sutras and these yogic guidelines, Rishin will lead you through a centering meditation, pranayama and somatic work to prepare the body for a strong layered heat building  flow which will build up to more challenging postures and transitions. The themes of the Yamas and Niyamas will be woven throughout with discussion as well as the physical and meditative elements. In the second part of the workshop, things will slow down and you will move into a series of yin and restorative poses before finishing the class with yoga nidra (yogic sleep).
