The Upside Down
Do you want to get upside down more in your practice? Come and join Laura as she leads a two hour workshop exploring the basics of headstand, forearm balance and handstand.
During this workshop, we will start to break these poses down and look at:
-safe ways to get into the pose
- and exit strategies!
- drills and exercises to prepare for and develop in the poses
- what to do when you're up there
- some fun variations
By the end of the workshop you will have the tools to practice your inversions and confidently start to integrate these (or modifications of) into your everyday practice. All that's needed for the workshop is an openness and enthusiasm for getting upside down. Do please let us know, however, if you are new to yoga.
Laura will be leading a second workshop in Spring that will be for more intermediate/advanced students looking to work on handstand and forearm balance variations.
Laura has spent over 10 years now regularly exploring the upside down. She completed her 200 hr training with Frog Lotus Yoga in 2014 and went on to study a 300 hr advanced training with Noah Maze, and last year completed 100 hrs of Progressive Ashtanga/ Rocket training with the Rocket maestro David Kyle.
