This workshop breaks down the foundational arm balances practiced most frequently in yoga classes.
You’ll explore crow, side crow, eka pada koundinyasana and astavakrasana, with opportunities to learn the basics as well as play with funky variations if you want to take it there. Combine strength work and prep poses with plenty of time to play on the ground and in the air.
Cultivate the strength and flexibility needed in the wrists and shoulders for greater stability, as well as power up the core for balance and control. Let go of any fears as you learn specific alignment cues and ways to approach practicing arm balances in your practice. You'll be guided in and out of the poses from a variety of ways so that you can find those that feel best for you.
This workshop is open-level for anyone wanting to build confidence in arm balance postures.
