A Gong bath meditation is a holistic and yogic practice which helps to explore limbs of Yoga such as pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and kevala samadhi. The Gong produces harmonic and dissonent tones which give the individual the opportunity to experience altered states of consciousness, where the mind is totally aligned with the body. This helps one to burn up emotional history and karmic blockages.

From a physical point of view, a gong “bath” as we call it, is ideal for clearing nerve-endings and re-establishing a healthy relationship between the parasympathetic (ruled by sound) and sympathetic nervous system (ruled by vision). The gong also enables the brain to become efficient in producing Theta and Delta waves, which are produced by the brain during deep sleep and trance-like states.

Before hearing the gong, Leo will lead you through a deep body awareness relaxation or a series of kriyas which focus on bringing the crown energies down to the very base of the spine. One can expect to experience re-youthing and re-programming during this one and a half hour practice. Leo’s meditations are held in a way that you are given the space to peacefully go inward and stay in total harmony with your body.

Leo is a Prana Kriya Yoga teacher, sound healer, therapist, and a composer born in Switzerland. He has trained with Grand Gong master Don Conreaux and Yogi Ashokananda and often carries out Gong Baths at Indaba in Marylebone.
